Tattoo Removal
In earlier days, tattoos used to be impossible or difficult to remove. These days however laser technology allows you to erase tattoos with very little pain and barely any scarring. The VersaPulse Laser System is one of the most commonly use laser technologies for tattoo removal.
VersaPulse Laser System
This tattoo removal laser technology makes use of lasers to remove the colored pigment without causing any damage to the skin. VersaPulse Laser System's biggest advantage is the availability of laser lights of different wave lengths that allows you to erase multicolored tattoos. The laser lights work on specific colors, making for uniform removal of all colors in the tattoo. To remove a multicolored tattoo, your skin care practitioner will have to use a number of lasers depending upon the number of ink colors in your tattoo.
Tattoo Removal Procedure
During a laser tattoo removal procedure, your skin care practitioner will pass a laser light through the skin to act on the ink pigment. The pigment is vaporized. Different colors require different wave lengths. They also absorb laser wave lengths in varying manners. For instance, black, blue and other dark colors are easily affected by the lasers, because of their high level of laser absorption, while yellow, green or other light shades may not be as easily absorbable.
The tattoo pigment absorbs the laser light, and this leads to the breakdown of the colored ink into tiny pieces. With each treatment, a little pigment is affected, and in this manner, the treatment continues until all pigments are erased.
Tattoo removal with lasers is done with a gap of one or two months between each session. This is to allow the body to absorb the pigment before the next session begins. The number of sessions required for tattoo removal will depend on the size, color, depth and type of the tattoo, but generally approximately 8 to 20 sessions are needed for complete removal.
Tattoos that have not been created by a professional may have different levels of pigmentation, which call for additional sessions or different laser wavelengths to affect the pigment.
Most people are concerned about whether the tattoo will be completely removed. Most of the time you can expect that the tattoo to fade up to 90 percent. However, it is not possible to guarantee a 100 percent removal because tattoo inks do not fall under FDA regulations. This makes it harder for tattoo removal to work on the more than 100 types of Tattoo ink that are currently being used.
